Terms of service

1. The service

Price Intelligence provides a hosted service that collects publicly available product pricing information, matches it to a customer's catalogue, and provides monitoring, MAP violation detection, repricing and analytics on top of it. We may change or improve the service over time; where a change materially removes functionality you rely on, we will give reasonable notice.

2. Your account

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
• All plans include unlimited users. Create individual logins rather than sharing one.
• You must be authorised to bind the organisation you are registering on behalf of.

3. Trials, fees and billing

• The trial is 14 days with full functionality and requires no payment card. It converts to a paid plan only if you choose to subscribe.
• Subscription fees are those published on our pricing page at the time you subscribe, in US dollars and exclusive of applicable taxes.
• Monthly plans renew monthly and annual plans renew annually until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
• We do not automatically upgrade your plan and bill you for it. If you exceed a plan limit we will show it in-app and email you.
• Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law or where we have failed to provide the service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to break the law, to infringe someone else's rights, or to do any of the following:

• Attempt to access another customer's data, or probe, scan or test the security of the service without our written permission.
• Resell, sublicense or redistribute the collected data as a data product to third parties. Using the data to run your own business is exactly what it is for; repackaging it as a feed for sale is not.
• Use the service to target an individual rather than a commercial listing.
• Circumvent rate limits, or use automated means to extract the service's own interface at a volume that degrades it for others. The API exists for programmatic access and is included on every plan.

5. Your data and our data

• Your data stays yours. Catalogue data you upload, cost data you provide and the price history collected for your account belong to you. We do not sell it, pool it into a product sold to others, or share it with other customers.
• You grant us the licence needed to host, process and display that data in order to provide the service.
• Our data. The software, the interface and our published research are ours. You may quote and link to our published pages with attribution.
• You can export your data at any time via CSV or the API, and you keep export access for 30 days after cancellation.

6. Data collection from third-party sites

We collect information from publicly accessible pages. We do not log in, use your credentials, or bypass access controls. You are responsible for your own use of the information the service provides, including any pricing, enforcement or commercial decisions you take on the basis of it. See our methodology.

8. Availability and support

We aim for high availability and we work quickly on faults, but self-serve plans are provided without a contractual uptime commitment. A formal uptime SLA is available on Enterprise agreements. Where a collection source becomes unavailable because a third-party site changes or blocks access, we will tell you rather than silently show stale data.

9. Warranties and liability

The service is provided as is. We do not warrant that collected data will be complete or error-free; extraction and product matching are inherently imperfect, which is why the product reports confidence and coverage rather than implying certainty. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of these terms is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Suspension and termination

You can cancel at any time from billing settings. We may suspend or terminate an account for non-payment, for a breach of the acceptable use section, or where we are legally required to. Except in cases of serious misuse we will contact you first and give you a chance to fix it.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will email account holders and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws applicable at our place of business, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction, without limiting any mandatory consumer protections available to you locally. Questions about these terms: hello@priceintelligence.io.
