Six modules, one crawl, one price intelligence platform
Price Intelligence is a price intelligence platform made of six modules that share one collection layer: price monitoring, MAP protection, repricing, pricing analytics, data quality and integrations. One crawl feeds all six, so a competitor price observed once becomes an alert, a violation record, a repricing input and an index point without being collected again.
Six modules, one collection layer. A competitor price is read once and then does six jobs: it updates a monitored listing, opens a MAP violation if it sits below your floor, feeds a repricing rule, moves your price index, adjusts a coverage and freshness number, and travels out through an integration. Nothing is collected twice, nothing disagrees with itself, and no module is sold as an add-on.
What one crawl actually changes
Most pricing stacks are assembled from parts. A monitoring tool watches competitors, a MAP vendor watches marketplaces, a repricer reads a feed, and a BI dashboard reads an export of all three. Each one collects its own data on its own schedule, so by Wednesday afternoon the MAP report and the pricing dashboard disagree about what a seller charged on Tuesday, and the meeting is spent reconciling instead of deciding.
Here the observation is the atom. One fetch produces one timestamped row holding the shelf price, was-price, stock status, shipping, promotion text, seller, currency, variant and source URL. Every module reads that same row. A MAP violation and an index point that were computed from the same observation cannot contradict each other, because there is only one number and one capture time.
Four tools, four crawls
- Four schedules, so the same seller is priced at four different moments.
- Four matching engines, so a bundle is a match in one tool and not in another.
- Reconciliation work before every pricing meeting.
- Four contracts, four renewal dates, four support queues.
- When one source goes quiet, only the tool that owns it knows.
One crawl, six modules
- One capture time on every number, visible next to it.
- One match, one confidence score, corrected once and respected everywhere.
- MAP depth, index movement and repricing inputs derived from the same row.
- One bill that scales on products and refresh rate, not on features.
- A source that degrades is flagged for every module at once.
The six modules of the price intelligence platform
| Module | The question it answers | Who opens it most |
|---|---|---|
| Price monitoring | What is every tracked competitor charging for this SKU right now, and what did they charge last month | Pricing analysts and ecommerce merchandisers, daily |
| MAP protection | Which listings are below our minimum advertised price, who is selling them, and can we prove it | Brand channel managers and sales operations |
| Repricing | Given our floors and rules, what should this price be, and who signs off before it moves | Pricing managers and category owners |
| Pricing analytics | Are we above or below the market overall, and where is that position costing margin | Heads of ecommerce, and finance when the quarter is being explained |
| Data quality | Is the data behind all of the above still arriving, and how would we know if it stopped | Everyone, on the day something breaks. Operations owns it the rest of the time |
| Integrations | How do prices get out of here and into the store, the feed, the warehouse or a Slack channel | Ecommerce operations and engineering, usually once during setup |
Read each in depth: price monitoring, MAP protection, repricing, pricing analytics, data quality and integrations.

How one observation travels through the system
This is the same competitor listing at six moments on the same morning. It is worth following once, because it explains why the modules are not really separate products.
- 1
Collected
A tracked competitor page is fetched on schedule. Structured product data is read where the site publishes it, a per-domain recipe where it does not. The listing reads $159.00, in stock, free shipping, sold by DealVault.
- 2
Matched and validated
The listing is joined to your SKU by GTIN first, then by title and attribute embeddings, then by image. It passes plausibility checks against its own history and against peer listings, and is written with a confidence score and a capture time.
- 3
Compared against MAP
Your MAP on that SKU is $199.00, so the listing is 20.1 percent below MAP, because (199.00 - 159.00) / 199.00 = 0.201. A violation opens and the page is captured as timestamped screenshot evidence in the same pass.
- 4
Fed to rules
The observation becomes an input to any repricing rule watching that competitor. Guardrails decide whether a change is even legal for you: margin floor, cost floor, MAP floor and maximum daily move are checked before a new price is proposed.
- 5
Rolled into analytics
The same row moves the price index, the position mix and the category volatility figure. Because it carries a stock flag, an out-of-stock listing can be excluded from the market average rather than quietly dragging it down.
- 6
Sent out
An alert goes to email or Slack, an approved price change goes to the store or a CSV, and the raw observation is available over the REST API, a webhook or SFTP. What you collect is yours to take.
Every module is on every plan
Capability is never the upsell. You pay for scale, meaning how many products you track and how often they refresh. You never pay to switch a feature on, and there is no tier where MAP evidence, repricing or the API is withheld.

| Plan | Monthly | Products | Refresh | Modules included |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $99 | 500 | Daily | All six |
| Growth | $299 | 2,500 | Twice daily | All six |
| Scale | $699 | 10,000 | Four times daily | All six |
| Enterprise | Custom | Unlimited | Hourly, with SLA and SSO | All six |
Starter allows ten competitor URLs per product; Growth and above are unlimited. Annual billing saves roughly two months. Full detail on pricing.
The practical effect is that a small brand can run a real MAP program with screenshot evidence for $99 a month, and a retailer on Scale is buying throughput rather than permission. When you compare vendors, price the capability you need at the volume you have, not the tier name.
What the platform does not do
- It does not collect anything a shopper cannot see. No logged-in pricing, no member tiers, no negotiated B2B rates, nothing behind an account wall.
- It does not guess a price. If a page will not yield a plausible value, the observation is quarantined and the gap is shown as a gap. Charts are not interpolated to look continuous.
- It does not change prices on its own by default. Repricing proposals can go to a review queue, a CSV or the connected store. Which of those happens is your decision, per rule.
- It does not decide whether a seller is authorized. That list comes from you, because only you know who signed what.
- It does not model demand for you. There is no elasticity curve without your own sales data, and no analytics module can invent one.

Frequently asked questions
What is included in a price intelligence platform?
Six things working together: competitor price monitoring, MAP violation detection with evidence, rule-based repricing, pricing analytics, data quality monitoring of the collection itself, and integrations that move prices in and out. A platform differs from a point tool in that all six read the same observations, so a MAP report and a pricing dashboard never disagree about what a seller charged.
Do I have to buy modules separately?
No. All six modules are on all four plans, including the $99 Starter plan. Plans differ only in how many products you track and how often they refresh: daily on Starter, twice daily on Growth, four times daily on Scale, hourly on Enterprise. Users are unlimited on every plan, so you never ration seats to control cost.
How long does setup take?
Connect a store through Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce or a CSV, and matching starts proposing competitor listings immediately. Most teams spend their first session confirming the matches with the lowest confidence scores, since that is what makes every later number trustworthy. A useful first alert can be live the same day.
Can I use only the MAP module?
Yes, and some brands do. Import a MAP price per SKU, point monitoring at retailer and marketplace listings, and use violation detection with screenshot evidence on its own. The other modules stay available at no extra cost, which is usually how repricing and analytics get adopted later without a new contract.
Does the platform change my prices automatically?
Only if you tell a rule to. Every repricing rule has an output setting: a review queue for human approval, a CSV or SFTP export, or a direct push to the connected store. Guardrails for margin floor, cost floor, MAP floor and maximum daily change apply in all three cases, and every change keeps a full history.
What happens when a competitor site changes and data stops arriving?
The data quality module tracks coverage and freshness per source and alerts you when a source degrades, rather than leaving a stale price on screen. Extraction recipes regenerate automatically when a layout changes, and a moved product URL is re-discovered by identifier. Incidents are visible in your account with the scope and the fix.
Can I export the raw data?
Yes. Raw observations, matches, violations and price changes export as CSV over SFTP or through the REST API, and webhooks push events into your own systems as they happen. There is no tier where the API is withheld, and no charge for taking your own data out of the platform.
