About

A price intelligence tool built around the boring parts

Read enough reviews of price monitoring software and the same complaints repeat: the scraping broke and nobody said anything, the product matches were wrong, the useful features cost extra, and support took three days. None of that is a hard technology problem. It is a set of choices about what to spend attention on. Price Intelligence is what happens when you make the other choice each time.

How we decide

Four principles that show up in the product

These are not values on a wall. Each one costs us something, which is how you can tell they are real.

Reliability is the feature

The most common failure in this category is not a wrong price. It is a price that quietly stopped updating while the dashboard still looked fine. We spend more engineering time on detecting and repairing collection failures than on anything else, and we show customers the incident log rather than hiding it.

Evidence beats assertion

A MAP violation is only actionable if you can show what was advertised, when, and by whom. So every violation carries a timestamped capture stored write-once. The same principle applies to our own claims: where we state a fact about the market, we date it and say where it came from.

Capability is never the upsell

Add-on pricing in this category means the quote is rarely the headline number. Matching, MAP evidence, repricing and API access are on every plan including the cheapest. You pay for catalogue size and refresh rate. That is a harder business to run and a much easier one to trust.

Say what we do not do

We are not an Amazon buy-box repricer and we do not sell a demand-forecasting optimization suite. Being clear about the edges saves everyone a wasted trial, and it is the fastest way to be useful to somebody we cannot help.

Who builds it

Founder-led, deliberately small

AD

Ashesh Dhakal

Founder

I build and grow software products. Before this I built SVG AI, a free-tool-led site that reached roughly 2,500 organic keywords and 358 referring domains, ranking first for terms like “svg code to png”. The playbook there was the same one running here: build something genuinely useful, publish what you learn, and let the product do the selling.

I am not a former pricing executive and I am not going to claim otherwise. What I bring is the engineering side of this problem — reliable data collection, honest matching, and a product that tells you when it is wrong. The pricing expertise on this site comes from doing the work in public: the guides are written to be checkable, and the methodology page says exactly how our data is gathered.

What being small means for you

  • You get replies from someone who can change the product, usually the same day.
  • There is no sales team, no gated demo and no discovery call before you can see the software. The demo is open to everyone.
  • We say no to things. The pricing page is short because the product is focused.
