Integration
Amazon price monitoring for brands, not buy box repricing
Amazon price monitoring for brands tracks the offers listed against your ASINs so you can see who is selling your products, at what price, and which listings sit below MAP. Marketplace observations appear alongside retailer storefront data, with seller identity and timestamped screenshot evidence for enforcement work.
We monitor Amazon marketplace listings for competitive and MAP purposes: the offers on an ASIN, the price and stock of each, and the seller behind them. Marketplace observations sit alongside retailer storefront data in the same catalogue view. We are not an FBA buy box repricer and do not change your Amazon prices. If that is what you need, repricing software explains the difference and says the same thing.
Scope: what this integration is and is not
What this is not
- A buy box repricer that adjusts your Amazon prices
- An FBA fee, inventory or replenishment tool
- An advertising, keyword or listing optimisation product
- A source of order, settlement or customer data
- A way to get a seller suspended on your behalf
What this is
- Visibility of every offer on the ASINs you care about
- Seller identity, price, stock and shipping context per offer
- Below-MAP detection with timestamped screenshot evidence
- Repeat-offender tracking across marketplace and web
- Marketplace prices in the same view as retailer storefronts
That distinction matters because the two jobs pull in opposite directions. A buy box repricer exists to win a sale by moving your own price down. Brand monitoring exists to find the seller who has moved a price down and to build a record about it. Buying the first when you needed the second is a common and expensive mistake.
What data flows in each direction
| Direction | What moves | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Seller Central to us | Your own listings and their identifiers: ASIN, your seller SKU, title, brand and the GTIN where your catalogue carries it | Read access only, used to build the ASIN list |
| Marketplace to us | Offers on each monitored listing: price, shipping context, stock status, seller name and whether the offer currently holds the featured position | Collected on your plan refresh rate, from daily to hourly |
| Us to you | Price history per offer, below-MAP alerts, seller profiles and repeat-offender history, screenshot evidence and exportable evidence packets | Alerts by email, Slack or webhook |
| Us to Amazon | Nothing | No prices, no listing edits, no messages, no reports. Repricing output goes to CSV, the API, or a connected storefront |
You can also monitor ASINs you do not own, which is how brands watch a competing product line and how retailers see the marketplace floor under a category.
How to set up Amazon monitoring
- 1
Connect Seller Central, or skip it
Authorising read access to Seller Central imports your listings and identifiers, which saves typing. It is optional. You can paste or upload a list of ASINs instead and monitoring works the same way.
- 2
Choose the listings to watch
Select the ASINs that matter: your best sellers, the SKUs with the most reseller activity, or an entire brand line. Product allowance is counted the same way as anywhere else, so watch what you will act on.
- 3
Load your MAP prices
Import MAP by SKU from a CSV or your existing sheet, with effective dates where a MAP changes seasonally. A violation is only meaningful against a MAP that was in force on the day of capture.
- 4
Set thresholds and routing
Decide what counts as worth telling someone: any price below MAP, or more than a set percentage below. Route critical violations to a channel and everything else to a digest.
- 5
Review sellers weekly
New sellers on a listing are the leading indicator of a leak in your distribution. The seller list is where a diversion investigation starts, as described in the unauthorized sellers guide.
Which identifiers Amazon price monitoring for brands uses
- ASIN. The listing key. Everything about an offer is anchored to it, and monitoring follows the ASIN even when the listing page changes shape.
- GTIN, UPC or EAN. The join between an ASIN and your own catalogue, so an Amazon offer and a retailer storefront price appear against the same product.
- Your seller SKU. Keys your side for reporting and CSV export. It never matches another seller, because their SKU is their own.
- Seller name and storefront identity. How repeat offenders are tracked over time, including a seller who leaves a listing and returns under a new name selling the same items.
- Parent and child listings. Variations are monitored individually, because a violation on one size is a violation, and averaging it across the family hides it.

Every row links to a timestamped capture of the listing as it appeared. Repeat counts track the same seller across the enforcement history.
Using marketplace data for MAP enforcement
Marketplace listings are where most MAP problems surface, and they are the hardest to evidence because an offer can be there for four hours. Every violation is captured with a timestamped screenshot of the offer as it appeared, the seller identity at that moment, and the MAP that was in force. A worked example: a product with a MAP of 149.00 dollars listed by DealVault at 119.00 dollars is 30.00 dollars below MAP, which is 20.1 percent. That arithmetic appears on the record, so the notice you send does not need anyone to recalculate it.

Where repricing fits, and where it does not
Repricing rules can read marketplace observations, with a filter for seller type so a rule ignores unauthorized sellers rather than chasing them down. The output goes to a review queue, a CSV export, or a connected storefront such as Shopify or Adobe Commerce. It does not go to Amazon. If your requirement is automated buy box competition on your own FBA listings, a dedicated repricer is the right tool and we would rather say so.
What this integration does not do
- It does not change prices, inventory or content on your Amazon listings.
- It does not read orders, settlements, fees, advertising or customer data.
- It does not report a seller to Amazon for you or manage a takedown process.
- It does not reveal a seller legal identity beyond what the listing shows.
- It does not require a Seller Central connection at all if you would rather supply ASINs directly.

Frequently asked questions
Is this an Amazon repricer?
No. We monitor marketplace listings for competitive and MAP purposes and never change your Amazon prices. There is no buy box automation here. If you need automated buy box competition on your own FBA listings, use a dedicated repricer. Our repricing module works on connected storefronts and CSV exports, which is a different job.
What does Amazon price monitoring for brands actually show?
Every offer on the listings you monitor: price, stock status, shipping context, seller name and whether the offer holds the featured position. Alongside that, price history over time, below-MAP detection against the MAP in force, seller profiles with repeat-offender history, and timestamped screenshot evidence of each violation.
Do I need to connect Seller Central?
No. Connecting it imports your listings and identifiers automatically, which saves setup time, and it needs read access only. If you would rather not connect it, upload or paste a list of ASINs and monitoring runs identically. You can also monitor ASINs you do not own, which is how brands watch a competing line.
Can I track marketplace prices next to retailer prices?
Yes, and that is the point of joining on GTIN. An Amazon offer and a retailer storefront price appear against the same product in one view, so you can see whether the price pressure in a category is coming from a marketplace seller or from an authorized retailer running a promotion. They call for different responses.
How do you evidence a MAP violation on a marketplace listing?
Each detected violation is captured with a timestamped screenshot of the offer as it appeared, the source URL, the seller identity at capture time, and the MAP that was in force that day. The dollar and percentage gap is calculated on the record. Evidence packets export for enforcement work.
Can you identify sellers who keep coming back under new names?
Repeat-offender tracking follows sellers across listings and over time, including patterns where a seller disappears and similar inventory appears under a different name. It is signal, not proof of identity. The unauthorized sellers guide covers how teams use that signal in a diversion investigation.
Which plans include Amazon monitoring?
All four, starting at 99 dollars per month. Every integration is included on every plan, and plans differ only by product count and refresh rate. Monitored ASINs count toward the same product allowance as anything else, so choose the listings you intend to act on rather than the whole catalogue.
